In Qatar: Mahira Khan cheers for Argentina at the FIFA World Cup semi-final

The actor posted videos on social media lending support to her favourite football team

We all knew Mahira Khan was a cricket fanatic but who knew she loved football too? After attending the Red Sea Film festival, the superstar donned her sporty hat and took off to support her favourite team in Doha for the FIFA World Cup.

Accompanied by her brother Hissan Khan, the sibling duo rooted for Argentina in blue and white team shirts and posted videos from the stadium, cheering for the team.

On Tuesday, Mahira took to her Instagram Stories to share her whereabouts with her fans; the Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Talking about a possible goal with her brother, the first video sees them rallying for Argentina at the semi-final game against Croatia.

“What. A. Freaking. Goal.” she wrote in another Story where she asks her brother “Oh my god, what just happened” and then turned the camera to his speechless face. The Legend of Maula Jatt actor also posted a zoomed-in video of Lionel Messi in the stadium after a glorious victory with his team and drew a small white heart around it.

The sibling duo posted a smiling selfie after the crazy game they watched. Mahira paired Argentina’s team shirt with gold hoops and a green cap. Bollywood’s Ananya Pandey and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza were also at the same game.
