HARIPUR: A man was run over by a train in the limits of City Police Station on Tuesday. The police quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a man carrying grocery items was crossing the railway track near Haripur Railway Station when he was hit by Hazara Express, which was bound for Havelian. The deceased was identified as Nazar Ahmed, a resident of Muhalla Roshanabad who suffered from speech and hearing impediments. There are several localities across the railway track in Haripur where there are no railway crossings and no alternative routes either, due to which residents, especially children, are exposed to danger while crossing the railway track.
