As many as 897 students of Bachelors (Hons), 248 Postgraduate and one PhD graduated in various disciplines from the Forman Christian College university on Saturday during a ceremony attended by dignitaries, faculty, staff and their families. Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman was the chief guest.
The Baccalaureate (Hons) valedictory speech was given by Aima Kashif who graduated with a CGPA of 4.00 and the Postgraduate valedictory speeches by Rabia Idrees and Rabia Latif. Medals were awarded to students for achievements in their disciplines, Certificates of Distinction over scoring high grades, Roll of Honour co-curricular awards and Outstanding Student Awards in their departments and faculties.
The governor said on the occasion that the FCCU has produced leaders from all walks of life who are a part of its amazing legacy.
FCCU Rector Dr Jonathan Addleton congratulated the graduating class and told them that they were now a part of a large group of Formanites.
