KARACHI:

Videos of a monkey roaming around in a school in Karachi's Jacob Line and dodging the rescue team of Sindh Wildlife Department have gone viral in social media.

School's watchman said that the primate suddenly appeared on the boundary of the school and later fled towards the road outside the building.

According to Sindh Wildlife Inspector Naeem Khan, the monkey has not harmed anyone so far.

"After escaping from the school, the monkey also ate food from someone on the street. We cannot say with certainty for now whether it is a pet or wild animal," he added.

Naeem said that the team is still searching the area, requesting the people not to directly confront the monkey but rather inform the Sindh Wildlife team.

Residents of the area said that the monkey had escaped from a shop in Saddar.
