Sindh police approach foreign ministry to help catch ‘cop killer’

After the incident, the accused Khurram Nisar fled to Sweden

The Sindh police have approached the ministry of foreign affairs for the arrest of accused Khurram Nisar, who gunned down a police constable Abdul Rehman in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase V.

Shaheen Force official, Abdul Rahman, was killed in a firing incident when he was chasing a suspicious car late Monday night. After the incident, the accused Khurram Nisar fled to Sweden. According to the police, a letter has been written to Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) to block the national identity card and Pakistani passport of the accused murderer.

DIG-South Irfan Baloch said that the police have provided all the details regarding the incident to FIA.

He said that the investigation authority was also asked to provide the travel history of the accused. Moreover, the Pakistani embassy in Sweden will also be approached for assistance in the arrest of Khurram Nisar, he added. The police have arrested the driver and the brother-in-law of the prime suspect, who helped him to flee abroad after shooting the cop.
