Indian gutka worth over Rs120m seized

KARACHI:

All the directorates of customs intelligence, following the strict orders of the Director General, Faiz Ahmed Chadhar, tightened noose around the drug dealers and conducted raids to recover the contraband and apprehend the people involved in this illegal business.

The DG customs Intelligence told The Express Tribune that the directorate of customs intelligence on a tip off conducted a successful raid at a place near Quetta airport and recovered huge quantity of Indian gutka. The gutka was loaded on a truck at Qila Saifullah.

The value of smuggled Indian gutka is more than Rs120 million while the value of duty and tax evasion is amounted over Rs50 million.

He said that on the complaint of customs intelligence officer S. Hamid Habib a case has been registered against five persons.
