ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has served a final notice on Tahira Swati, wife of Senator Azam Swati, for illegal constructions at her farmhouse in violation of building bylaws.

According to sources, the Building Control Directorate of the civic body has given her a seven day time to demolish the illegal structures on her farmhouse located on plot No71 at Orchard Scheme on Murree Road.

As per the notice, the regulators had sent a report on the illegal constructions in the farmhouse to the owner on November 19, 2018, but the illegal constructions were not removed. A total of four illegal structures have been identified at the farmhouse, as per the CDA notice.

In case of failure to comply with the official orders, the CDA Enforcement Directorate will demolish the structures, the notice read. CDA sources said that PTI Senator Azam Swati had made illegal constructions on his wife’s farmhouse even before this.

Notices have been issued for almost three years now and this time the CDA has issued a final notice, they added.
