Thousands perform duty at MDCAT centres

More than 83,000 candidates participated in the MDCAT exams in eight cities of the province

Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi visited various MDCAT examination centres in the provincial capital on Sunday.

More than 7,000 staffers from the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, the University of Health Sciences and other teaching institutions performed duties at the centres.

He visited the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, the Kinnaird College for Women, the Lahore College for Women University, the DPS Model Town, the University of Punjab (Wahdat Road), the University of Education and the Expo Centre to review the arrangements.

He also discussed the arrangements during a meeting with the representatives of respective institutions’ administrations at the examination centres.

He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made for the MDCAT candidates. Vice chancellors and principals of several medical colleges monitored the MDCAT exams.

The secretary remained in contact with the control room established in the University of Health Sciences regarding the MDCAT exams.

Special NADRA vans for identification and verification were deployed at the centres.

More than 83,000 candidates participated in the MDCAT exams in eight cities of the province.
