KARACHI:

The federal cabinet has approved the appointment of chief executive officer of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). According to sources, it has been decided to appoint former Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president and Businessmen Group Chairman Zubair Motiwala as the new head of TDAP. The appointment has been approved by the cabinet through the circulation of a summary prepared by the Ministry of Commerce, sources added. As per details, Motiwala will work on an honorary basis and will not draw any salary. It is expected that a formal notification will be issued next week. The appointment came after Arif Ahmed Khan resigned from the post of TDAP CEO.
