PO in murder case arrested

MULTAN:

Qutabpur police arrested a notorious proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case for the last one-and-a-half years and seized the murder weapon from his possession on Thursday.

A police team led by SP Cantt Division Hassan Afzal launched a special operation in the city and arrested Riaz alias Riaza Khokhar, who was wanted in a murder case. The police also recovered a weapon from his possession.

The accused Riaz shot Muhammad Ashfaq dead around one-and-a-half years ago over a land dispute in Peepalwala. The police registered the case against the accused Riaz and six other suspects, Bilal Irshad, Amir, Adil, Shahbaz, Amir Manzoor and Shani, who are already in police custody.
