Woman disappears leaving body of 12-year-old at a hospital in Bahadurabad area

A woman in a car reached a private hospital in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area with the body of an unidentified teenage boy and later disappeared.

It later transpired in the autopsy that the boy was tortured and sexually abused before being strangulated. The body bore torture marks on the face and other parts.

After the doctors confirmed the death, the woman asked the hospital staff to call an ambulance to shift the body to a morgue. By the time the ambulance came, the woman escaped. The body was then shifted to a nearby mortuary.

The hospital administration and the ambulance driver informed the police about the incident.

In this regard, SSP East Rahim Shirazi said that the police reached the spot and started the investigation after obtaining footage from the CCTV cameras installed the hospital.

In the footage, the middle-aged woman did not seem panicky. The police are searching the woman through the registration number of silver colour vehicle.

Bahadurabad police station SHO Qurban Ali says that the police have obtained the registration number of the car in which the woman was riding, leaving behind the body of a young boy in a private hospital in Bahadurabad area.

The police are conducting further investigations in this regard, while they have yet to identify the victim.

Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed Tariq confirming sexual abuse with the victim said the age of the boy is around 12 years old, and marks of torture have been found on his body.

She said that the child died due to suffocation and they have obtained other samples including DNA. “The situation will become clearer when the report comes.”
