Majority of Pakistanis interested in TV ads: Poll

A majority of Pakistanis take a high or modest interest in watching TV advertisements.

ISLAMABAD: A majority of Pakistanis take a high or modest interest in watching TV advertisements, a recently released Gilani Poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan found.

In a survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were asked the following question:
How much interest do you take in watching advertisements on television?

The findings of the survey revealed that 23% respondents said they take a high interest in watching television advertisements, while 42% said they take a moderate interest.

Additionally, 32% said that they do not take any interest in watching advertisements on television and 3% gave other responses.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2624 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 31 – Aug 1, 2011.

This survey should have been done when the World Cup was on. I bet hundred percent of the respondents would have said they hate ads.
