Apple Music comes to Xbox consoles

Microsoft is bringing Apple Music to Xbox consoles, allowing players to listen to music while they play games

Tech Desk October 24, 2022

Microsoft has announced its partnership with Apple Music and will now offer music streaming on Xbox consoles. The app can be downloaded from the store or searched for on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S consoles.

This inclusion will allow players to listen to music while playing their favorite games on Xbox. Microsoft has announced several exciting partnerships this month, including Xbox Cloud Gaming support for Meta Quest 2.

The integration of Apple Music in Xbox consoles will allow for a more immersive experience for players, who can listen to music, or watch music videos while following time-synced lyrics. Players can create their playlists or access curated gaming-focused playlists, reported Eurogamer.

Xbox users have had to wait two years before Apple Music has been introduced to their consoles, in comparison to PlayStation 5 which has had the integration since last year. With the Series X/S debut in 2020, Apple TV has also been made available to Xbox consoles.
