Naimal Khawar Abbasi is one proud wife after watching Hamza Ali Abbasi channelling his viscous vengeance-filled look as Noori Natt in The Legend of Maula Jatt. After a long list of celebrity nods for the cult remake, the former actor joined in to recommend Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus to the world!

On Saturday, Naimal took to Instagram with a picture of Hamza, about to enter a house full of cinema to surprise the people watching a screening of his film. “I’m so incredibly proud of you and Pakistani cinema today! I don’t know where to start from,” said the Verna actor who also joined her husband at the screening.

She went on to add how much she loved watching Hamza as Noori. “Your acting, your presence in the film, and all the insane hard work you poured into it, it shows. You have completely outdone yourself as an artist. You and the entire team deserve all the applause.”

Concluding, the Anaa actor recommended her fans to go watch the film if they haven’t yet. “For all those who haven’t watched the legend of Maula Jatt yet, go watch it now guys!! This is the start of a new era for Pakistani cinema.”

Earlier, the legendary actor and the OG Noori Natt, Mustafa Qureshi also sung praises for Hamza after watching The Legend of Maula Jatt. The actor, who portrayed Sultan Rahi's arch nemesis in the 1979 Yunus Malik directorial, was present at an exclusive pre-release screening of the Bilal Lashari remake held in Karachi’s Atrium Cinemas on Monday.

The veteran was impressed by Hamza’s reprisal of Noori Natt and lauded his acting prowess while speaking to the press. "Hamza Ali Abbasi has given tribute to Noori Natt with his exceptional role,” he said. “He has done a superb job, so has everyone else,” he added. The actor also presented his thoughts on the remake.

Qureshi maintained that “a franchise like Maiula Jatt needed this kind of technology and scale to be revamped properly.” He shared, “We never had this kind of technology back in the days. The sound system, the effects, everything was up to the mark. I wish the film makes Rs 200 crores.”

Easily one of the most popular celebrity couples, Naimal and Hamza’s social media is a testament to their love for each other – the two never tire of expressing it via loved-up captions and cute selfies.

Naimal, who's a former actor, now fully practices art – painting and calligraphy being her forte. Whereas Abbasi, in September, had declared that contrary to the widespread rumours, he hadn't left acting. He went on to clarify that his 'long break' was being misconstrued as him leaving showbiz altogether.
