Fool proof security to be provided to health workers

A meeting of the Provincial Security Coordination Committee in regard to fool proof security to polio vaccination teams was held with Special Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Pervez Khan in the chair on Thursday.

High ups of police and civil administration attended the meeting.

The meeting was briefed about the preparations of the polio campaign and security arrangements.

The participants of the meeting were informed that the polio campaign would be held from 24th in 28 districts of the province. Complete anti-polio campaign would be run in 17 districts of the province while in 11 districts, the campaign would be run in some areas.

A total of 18,747 teams have been constituted including 16,789 mobile, 746 transit, 147 fixed and 65 roaming teams for the campaign. A total of 34,072 individuals will participate in the campaign.
