Microsoft is releasing a new ARM64 version of the Xbox app for Windows which will allow the app to run on Surface Pro X, SQ3-powered Surface Pro 9, and other ARM-powered devices.

While the app may run smoothly on ARM-powered Windows hardware, there aren't many games that have been compiled for ARM, compelling players to either use the built-in emulation or stream games from another device.

Xbox Cloud Gaming has also been added to the app on ARM devices, letting players stream any Xbox Game Pass Ultimate game to ARM device without any compatibility and performance issues.

Microsoft has been trying to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more devices, including selected Samsung 2022 smart TVs and monitors. Just this week, the company also committed to bringing the service to Meta Quest VR headsets.
