LAHORE:

Provincial Senior Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal has expressed dissatisfaction over the examination system of the Punjab Board of Technical Education and called for making it more transparent.

He said while presiding over a meeting of the board, he said children from impecunious strata chose technical education to become earning hands for their families.

Instead of minting profit, the PBTE should focus on providing more facilities to them, he emphasised and added that honest staff enjoying immaculate repute should be deputed at the exam centres.

He maintained that performance should be shown for enjoying perks and privileges.

If there is a complaint about dishonest invigilators at any examination centre, action would be taken against the person responsible, he asserted.

The minister said and monitoring of officers visiting technical educational institutions would be done through a tour management information system.
