FIA nabs human trafficker

Accused was blacklisted by the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Cell in five different cases

RAWALPINDI:

The Federal Investigation Agency's Anti-Human Trafficking Cell in Rawalpindi apprehended a most wanted human trafficker on Thursday.

The authorities claimed that the accused, Zakir Khan, was blacklisted by the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Cell Rawalpindi in five different cases. He was involved in helping move citizens abroad under the pretext of employment in exchange for Rs6 million.

The officials are looking into the case.

Meanwhile, police busted a gang of motorcycle-lifters and recovered three stolen motorcycles and other items from the possession of the arrested accused.

According to a police spokesman, the suspects were identified as Miraj and Sarfraz. A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.

Superintendent of Police, Saddar Ahmed Zaneer Cheema directed officials concerned to accelerate operations against lawbreakers.
