KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court has given deadline to the SBCA to respond to the petition regarding setting up illegal shops in Odeon Centre near Regal Chowk.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi heard a petition related to the construction of illegal shops in Odeon Centre.

The petitioner's counsel submitted that illegal constructions were carried out in the Odeon Centre. Shops have been set up in the emergency corridor and meter room.

The court has ordered the SBCA to inspect the site and submit report.

The court remarked that every advocate of SBCA leaves with respite. Is there any register or computer record of how many cases there are? Everyone comes and seeks time to reply. Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi remarked that it is the last chance that the court is giving time to SBCA to reply. If there is no response then the Deputy Director South should appear at the next hearing.

Apart from this, in front of a two-member bench headed by Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi of Sindh High Court, a hearing was held on the request of the Community Centrfe in North Nazimabad Sector 14B against the alleged occupation of Rampuri Community Hall by turning it into a garbage dump.

The boundary wall was broken and a garbage area was made. The waste of entire area is being dumped in the community centre. The purpose of creating a garbage dumping place is to capture the land.
