Adnan Siddiqui’s TamashaGhar, the Pakistani version of a BiggBoss-inspired reality show, finally concluded on Sunday night with a live audience watching and all the shenanigans. There was a tough competition between finalists and, now good friends, Mareeha Safdar and Umer Aalam but the latter took the prize home and became the first winner of TamashaGhar season 1.

The finalists went through a couple of fun challenges and games after which Aalam had the most points on his belt. The show may have been a rollercoaster ride of gossip, chaos, arguments, bullying-ridden fights, and personal attacks but fans were happy that their “favourites” made it to the top two in the grand finale.

Siddiqui took to his Twitter to appreciate Aalam. "Umer Aalam: dark horse, crowd puller, sharp, discerning. Winner in every sense of the word. Congratulations! We had quite a Tamasha in the last few months."

However, one thing that upset fans were how the host Siddiqui didn’t add Safdar and Aalam’s wholesome friendship in the video that entailed their Tamasha journey so far – and so fans made their own edits for their two stars.

Upwards and onwards, Aalam!

Flooded with congratulations for his “well deserved” win, social media praised the up-and-coming actor for his talents, dedication and fun persona throughout. “I love the way he blurred all the negativity from Tamasha Ghar and added his positive energy not only to the show but also to our hearts. I hope you don't ever stop feeling like a KING!” read a tweet.

Another wished him light and love. “Lots of light, love and congratulations to Umer Aalam for winning and to those who supported him.”

Another user felt he was the only contestant that deserved the win. “He is the only contestant to win this show. Unlike those who are bullying other contestants and being overconfident. Mareeha had crossed all limits and now should see the mirror.”

A tweep felt that the winning moment be “like a dream” to see Umer win.
