China seeks to deepen to defence ties

Minister Wei thanks Gen Qamar for providing 'safe, secure environment' to CPEC

Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe thanked Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa for the special measures taken to provide 'a safe and secure environment' to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (COEC) projects, reported the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.

The Chinese defence minister made the remarks during his meeting with the COAS in Xi’an, who is on a two-day official visit to China, according to the ISPR.

During the visit, General Wei Fenghe said that China "greatly values its time-tested relations with Pakistan and its army, and looks forward to further expanding this cooperation".

He maintained that Pak-China military cooperation is "an important pillar of bilateral relations", the military media wing stated.

Moreover, the Chinese defence minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of CPEC projects and hoped for their timely completion. "The development of CPEC aims to bring more benefits and prosperity to the people of both countries," he added.

He further appreciated the special measures taken by the army to ensure the safety and security of the projects and China's personnel in the country as well as their efforts toward regional stability.

General Fenghe also conveyed his grief over the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan and offered sincere condolence to the families of the victims.

He assured that Beijing is willing to provide technical assistance for flood relief efforts in the country and appreciated the army’s ongoing rescue and relief efforts in flood-affected areas.

The COAS thanked the Chinese defence minister for his sentiments and China’s continued support to Pakistan.

test | 2 years ago | Reply I am pretty much sure that CPEC will complete on time no matter what and i think it must complete on time as there is no place for delay because the world is so fast complex and complicated but the nation which survives is the only that is consistent and mature in its policies towards industrialization and economic stability. China must make sure that its industries are relocated to Pakistan because US has ordered taiwan to make a deal with india on semiconductors between vadanta and foxconn and the deal is worth 20 bln usd. And not only that US is a major infact the biggest investor in india. US investment in Pakistan is almost zero no doubt about that but us investment in india is pretty much very very big. But the problem is look at the level of cooperation between india and us and at the same time look at the cooperation between China and Pakistan. All i am just offering is truth rest it is onto you if you want to be a part of any delusion then that s totally up to you. What i am offering is truth. China must relocate its industries to Pakistan in the shortest period of time because the gdp of india is totally build up by west which includes US as its major partner. And i want China to raise Pakistan s economy in the same level as US did with indian economy. China must shift its industries to Pakistan only then Pakistan will be able to compete with india otherwise any kind of corruption misgovernance puppetism will certainly destroy what s left because both india and us has some commitments about their economies so does China and Pakistan must cooperate with each other on economy and China must build Pakistani economy just like us did with indian economy. The 3trln gdp of india is solely made up US. Pakistan must treat US as an enemy because the friend of my enemy is an enemy . Don t forget that but in Pakistan enemy puppets are so much in this party or in that party businessmen policitians policy makers they are all i cannot describe them into words. I simply cannot describe them but puppets whose purpose is to suck blood out of people and live with luxury on the blood of common man. I trust Pakistani armed forces because i think they are anti western and i love them because of this.
