First computerised FIR registered in Khyber

PESHAWAR:

For the first time in the history of merged areas a computerized FIR has been registered in Khyber district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

Now complainant would be able to get a computerized copy of the FIR. The facility was previously available only in Punjab province.

The FIR has been registered by Bara police station. District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan said that all the FIRs have been computerized in the district and the previous FIRs will also be computerized.

He said that it was a great achievement for the district where police was just introduced a few years ago.
