The Sindh government has appointed Fanaz Riaz, a female officer in grade-20 of the principal cadre and additional director, as Director of the Directorate of School Education Elementary/Secondary/Higher Secondary, Karachi, in place of Shahid Zaman.
A notification in this regard has been issued. Shahid Zaman has been relieved of his duties and appointed as Principal of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tando Bago, district Badin.
It may be mentioned that Shahid Zaman and his PA Imran Solangi have been accused of serious fraud in the purchase of school furniture. Secretary Education, Akbar Leghari took note of this. A summary of his dismissal was sent to the Chief Secretary a month ago. Imran Solangi, however, continues his duties.
