Google will host its fall hardware event on October 6 and will showcase the upcoming Pixel Watch and Pixel 7 phones.
The announcement of the launch event just came a day before Apple's Far Out event, happening today, where the company is expected to reveal the upcoming iPhone 14.
It's all coming together.

Google is revealing far more about the products being launched on the Pixel 7's product page, to avoid excessive leaks from last year. The leaks revealed similar things about the upcoming devices that had already been announced by Google.
The tech giant says that the Pixel phone will be powered by a next-gen chip called the Tensor G2 and an aluminium camera bar with two cut-outs on the rear for the Pro model.
According to The Verge, the phone seems to be a straightforward continuation of the Pixel series but there's more expectation for the watch. Google says the watch will be the “first smartwatch built by Google, inside and out”.
Google has finally stepped in on competing with Apple and Samsung with smartwatches, yet it remains to be seen how well they are received.
