Tragedy: Girl commits suicide

HARIPUR: A teenage girl committed suicide in the jurisdiction of Khanpur Police Station here on Sunday evening. The reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained. Police have registered a case and have started investigation. According to the police, the girl’s father, Shah Nawaz, a resident of Dartiyan Khanpur Village, was in the local mosque when he received the news. Upon reaching home, Nawaz found his daughter in a pool of blood. The 16-year-old Danish had shot herself in the chest with a 12-bore rifle. The police believe she held the rifle to her chest and pushed the trigger with her toe, killing herself instantly. A couple of weeks earlier, a teenage boy had shot himself with a 12-bore shotgun in the same village.
