Anti-dengue campaign in full swing

Authorities warn action against those who fail to take preventive measures

MULTAN:

An anti-dengue campaign organized by the district administration started on Wednesday.

A seminar and rally was organized at Raza Hall, led by Director Local Government Academy Mian Najeeb Aslam, in connection with dengue week.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Rizwan Nazeer and Assistant Commissioner Sadar Aamir Iftikhar were also present, while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Dr Ali Mahdi delivered a briefing on the anti-dengue campaign. Addressing on the occasion, Mian Najeeb Aslam said that the risk of dengue larvae breeding has increased following the monsoon and all departments and civil society will have to fight against this disease.

ADCG Rizwan Nazeer said that keeping the environment dry and clean was only way of preventing this epidemic. The district administration will take strict action against those who fail to take preventive measures against dengue, he added.

Health Dr Ali Mahdi CEO said that all hospitals were providing the best dengue treatment facilities. Civil society members also actively participated in a dengue awareness walk.
