Police unable to recover vehicle worth millions

The official vehicle of Ring Road Police worth millions of rupees was stolen.

The accused also took away wireless set along with the vehicle. The vehicle was not recovered till late night. There was also a blue light on the vehicle.

Police from all over Punjab, including Lahore, have been alerted regarding the vehicle. The police kept making announcements on the wireless set about the stolen vehicle, but the vehicle could not be found.

An inquiry has also been started regarding the theft of the police vehicle.

According to the details, near Gajomata Gol Chakkar area of Police station Kahana, unidentified thieves stole the official vehicle of Ring Road Police.

The colour of the stolen vehicle is white and model is of 2007. According to the sources the official wireless set of the Ring Road Police was also in the vehicle at the time of theft. Special wireless messages has also been sent to Dolphin, Pero and Lahore police. However, despite all efforts no clue of the vehicle was found yet.

Sources said that the official vehicle could be used in any terrorist activity, in view of which all the checkpoints have been informed about the vehicle.

Efforts are also being made to find out the vehicle with the help of footages of safe city. A case has been registered on official complaint.

Meanwhile, a rescue fire brigade vehicle LHP-4043 has also been stolen in Lahore. Police have advised all its personnel to keep vehicle of this number under their notice because some miscreants might use the vehicle for a terrorist activity.
