Police arrested 15 suspected criminals from different areas of the district on Sunday and seized liquor, narcotics and cash from their possession.
According to a Bahawalpur police spokesman, teams from different police stations (PS), including PS Noshahra, PS Hasilpur, PS Khairpur Tamewali, PS Dera Nawab, PS Baghdadul Jadid and PS Uch Sharif raided locations within their jurisdiction and took nine suspected drug peddlers into custody.
The teams recovered 275 litres of liquor and 4.03kgs of hashish from the possession of the suspects. Meanwhile, police also arrested six alleged gamblers and recovered money from their possession.
The spokesman said that a team of PS Cantonment raided a snooker club on a tip-off and arrested the suspects.
