Bajaur politician escapes bomb attack

Haji Syed Badshah, Chairman Sub Division Khar, escaped a roadside bomb attack in the Chanar area of Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur tribal district on Monday. Syed Badshah and three others travelling with him in the car escaped with minor injuries.

According to details, Syed Badshah, along with his nephew, and Maulana Zia Ullah Jan Haqqani, was returning home after attending a funeral in the Chanar area when a roadside bomb was detonated. The Rescue 1122 shifted them to hospital, where they were treated for their minor injuries. Speaking to supporters and local residents outside the hospital, Syed Badshah said, “God has saved us.

I request everyone to do everything for peace and order in Bajaur,” he said. “Our spirits are high.” District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan, along with a police contingent, visited the bomb blast site before launching a manhunt for the perpetrators.
