A two-judge bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered the Deputy Commissioner and DIG West to retrieve the German School land from the land mafia in Orangi Town.
The bench, headed by Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi, issued the orders while taking up a petition pertaining to the possession of land of German School Orangi Town. Usman Farooq Advocate took the stance that the land mafia has started construction at the site in violation of the court injunction.
The Indus Hospital has recommended to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to build a hospital and a college at the site.
The bench asked why the recommendation was not being considered. Usman Advocate replied that the Indus Hospital is an institution with a good reputation.
