The federal government has awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz to renowned journalist Javed Chaudhry on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the country's independence.
Chaudhry has been associated with journalism for the past 25 years and has been writing columns under the title "Zero Point". His column is the most read column according to various national and international surveys. He also hosts a popular political talk show titled "Kal Tak" on Express News.

Chaudhry is active on social media, and his news website javedch.com is the first major news portal in the country. He also runs coaching and tourism companies.
He is the author of eight books and has travelled to more than half of the world.
At the age of 25, he received PNS Best Columnist Award and National Young Journalist Award in 1997. Chaudhry has been associated with the Express Group for the past 16 years.
