The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) collected taxes worth Rs14.37 billion during July 2022, which was 37.1% higher than the collection of Rs10.48 billion in the same period of last year.
During fiscal year 2021-22, the PRA had exceeded the assigned target by recording tax receipts of over Rs170 billion.
“The growth in revenue collection reflects a promising start of the current financial year and the authority is optimistic about successfully achieving its assigned target of Rs190 billion for the year,” a PRA spokesperson stated during a media briefing.
