In Lahore, the traditional Tazia Alam procession began early in the morning from Mubarak Haveli, Mochi Gate, and will be passing through its traditional route to culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah in the evening.
Youm-e-Ali (RA) in Sindh
In Sindh all educational institutions, across the country were closed today to mark the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA).
The Education Ministry had confirmed that all public and private schools, colleges and offices will remain closed today.
Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed the Sindh Home Minister, Inspector General and DG Rangers to ensure foolproof security for the processions and Majalis on Youm-e-Ali (RA).
The main procession of Youm-e-Ali (RA) will convene at Nishter Park, after passing through its traditional route, culminating at the Imambargah Hussainian Iranian, Kharadar in the evening.
Security personnel, including snipers, will be deployed at high-rise buildings, dotted at the routes of the processions.
