Shopkeepers of Karachi protested against the increase in electricity rates. Shopkeepers held a demonstration at Sector 11 ½ of Orangi Town on Sunday.
The protesters said that the country's economy is already in decline and the increase in electricity rates is a double-edged sword.
The protesters also shouted slogans against the government and demanded to revoke the hike in electricity immediately.
Due to the demonstration, traffic jammed on the nearby roads.
As soon as the information was received, a police team reached the spot and dispersed the protesters peacefully after negotiations.
