The principals of all public and private sector colleges were directed by Deputy Commissioner Lt (retd) Suhail Ashraf to enforce no smoking rules in their institutions.
The district administration is already working to declare Faisalabad a ‘tobacco-free city’ and spreading awareness among the public.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Abud Hussain said that the Directorate of Colleges had a key role to protect the youth from the harmful effects of smoking.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director Colleges Chaudhry Imdadullah directed the colleges administration to display ‘No Smoking’ boards in prominent locations on college campuses.
