Four people, including a child died of electrocution in different parts of the city.
In Lyari, the Kala Kot police station SHO Abdul Ghaffar Korai said that Salamat Allah Rakkha, 60, was walking down the Tandri Road in knee deep water when he accidentally touched an electricity pole. Salamat got a fatal shock from the power pole and died on the spot.
An ambulance shifted his body to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
In another incident, a worker, Waqar Deedar, 25, electrocuted at a factory within the limits of the Site-A police station area.
His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal procedures. According to the police, they handed over the deceased’s body to the heirs after the completion of legal formalities.
Meanwhile, at a home in Lyari’s Bihar Colony, a man and his daughter died of electric shock at their home. Chakiwara police station SHO Ayub Soomro said that Rehman Usman 35 and his daughter, Hafeeza, 10, died of electrocution during rain at their home. Their bodies were brought to Civil Hospital for legal procedures necessary for acquiring the death certificate from NADRA.
