Five die in Punjab road accidents

850 injured in 772 road accidents across the province in a day

At least five people died, whereas 850 were injured in 772 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of this 473 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals.

Around 381 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority (70%) involved motorcycles. Further, the analysis showed that 393 drivers, 22 underage drivers, 95 pedestrians, and 347 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 236 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 277 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by 54 Gujranwala in with 54 victims and at third Multan with 48 RTCs and 45 victims.

As mnay as 850 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 669 males and 166 females.
