Two hardened criminals arrested

The accused are allegedly involved with a gang of street criminals

Bilal Colony police, on a tip-off, arrested two accused - Yasir Dagga and Shahid Captain - members of a six-member gang of street criminals, and recovered two 9mm pistols, mobile phones, tablets and other goods, packed in a wooden box, after digging at a vacant plot in North Karachi area on their revelation. The gang is reportedly involved in more than a 100 incidents of street crimes.

The accused admitted that they snatched mobile phones and tablets from citizens and buried them as the gadget had security locks.

Their accomplices include Abdullah Pathan, Ajmal alias Pahari, Mandi and Machhar, who are still at large. Two of their accomplices have already been arrested in injured in injured condition after an encounter with the police and sent to jail.

The absconder accused Abdullah and Ajmal are experts in stealing 125 motorcycles and used to sell them to Brohi Group in Hub for Rs25,000 to Rs30,000.

The arrested accused had made the empty plot as their hideout from where they used to go out to commit crime and return and dump the looted goods.

Abdullah, the fugitive accomplice of the accused, is an expert in changing the IMEI of stolen mobile phones.

The arrested accused further revealed during the investigation that they robbed a number of citizens coming out of ATMs and opened fire on some who offered resistance.
