Suspected child pornographer netted

The arrested accused was involved in heinous crimes like child pornography and selling material on the dark web

The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) cybercrime circle arrested Muhammad Yasir from Islamabad for his alleged involvement in producing child pornography.

An FIA official said that the arrested accused was involved in heinous crimes like child pornography and he used to sell child pornography material on the dark web. "He used to store objectionable content in different Google accounts to avoid legal action. The agency has also traced all the accounts of the suspect," he added.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect was in contact with various child pornography groups that are involved in producing and selling child pornography on the internet and dark web. A large amount of child pornographic material and several social media and Google accounts used to store child pornographic material were recovered from the suspect.

A case has been registered against him under PICA Act and further investigation is under process.

Meanwhile, police on the directives of City Police Officer Rawalpindi conducted raids in different areas and netted four accused for possessing illegal weapons.
