10 candidates issued notices for code violation

PTI, PPP candidates given notice for holding car rally, carrying out development work with Sindh government funds

The monitoring teams of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have issued notices to 10 more candidates for violating the code of conduct.

They include PTI and PPP candidates who were put on notice for respectively holding a cars rally, and carrying out development work with the Sindh government's funds.

he ECP monitoring teams have issued more than 80 notices for code of conduct violations during the campaign for the second phase of local bodies elections to be held in the city on July 24. These notices have been issued to candidates, political leaders and a special assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister.

These teams took down more than 1,000 political panaflex and banners of prohibited sizes put up by different parties in various places. Flags and banners were also removed from government buildings and poles.

Khuda Bakhsh, District Monitoring Officer Korangi, took 100 actions with the district administration's support and issued more than 20 notices to Jamaat-e-Islami, PPP and PTI leaders for the code violations.
