Doctors at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital continued their protest for the ninth day on Saturday against non-payment of their salaries for the past five months.
More than 200 house officers and postgraduates have been on boycott for the last nine days, which is affecting the OPDs of the hospital that receive around 1,600 patients every day.
The protesting doctors said they would not end their protest until their outstanding salaries are paid. "We continued to perform our responsibilities despite the lack of facilities at the hospital," they said.
