In a desperate appeal for help, Shehroze Khasif 's father has called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday for rescuing his son and fellow mountaineer Fazal Ali.
Kashif Salman, in a video message posted on Twitter early this morning, said that he had not been able to establish contact with his son since 7:30pm yesterday (Tuesday) and was in need to rescue.
The two climbers remain stranded at 7,350 metres at Nanga Parbat, according to his father.

However, according to sources at the base camp, mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has reached near camp- 3.
While further details are awaited, the police have confirmed that both Shehroze and Ali are safe and their movement is visible on a telescope from the base camp.
Salman also claimed that Nepalese rescuers had expressed willingness to conduct a rescue operation as long as a long-line helicopter would be provided to them.

On July 3, the 20-year-old mountaineer from Lahore celebrated completing the mammoth task of summiting three of the highest peaks in the world in 23 days, but at the same time lamented the lack of support from the government or private sector of the country.
The young Pakistani mountaineer has said that he was promised one million rupees from the government to sponsor his feat but had only received Rs450,000.
The record-breaking mountaineer announced his achievement in a Twitter post, stating that he was the youngest person to summit the seven highest peaks of the world, all of which are above 8,000 metres.
Last year, he had also become the youngest mountaineer to summit K2, the world's second-highest peak.
