A day earlier, after predicting heavy rains across the country, the PMD had revised its forecast, saying the “intensity of current monsoon system has weakened”.
The advisory said that the epicentre of the monsoon system moved to the southwest of the city in the Arabian Sea.
It however said rainfall with strong winds and thundershowers was still expected in different parts of Sindh and Balochistan, which would continue till July 13.
Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Karachi, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Awaran, Kharan and Panjgur were likely to receive the thundershowers, according to the Met office.
