The Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) has sought a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted inquiry over the alleged corruption and misuse of authority by the officers of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO).
In a letter to the FIA, the association's general secretary advocate Altaf Sachal Awan named all the top officers of the company for their alleged involvement in corruption and abuse of authority.
Awan stated that chief executive officer Noor Ahmed Soomro, chief commercial officer Riaz Pathan and all the other top officers of the company connive in the power theft against which their lower staff collected bribes. "To save their skin they serve detection bills to the bill paying consumers."
