Countering Imran Khan

Among his achievements is the establishment of a world-class charitable cancer hospital.

Letter August 21, 2011

KARACHI: The Sharif bothers, under the delusion that Imran Khan’s following is growing solely as result of his recognition as cricketer, have inducted former Pakistan captain, Aamir Sohail, into their party. If cricket were the only reason for Imran’s growing following, his party would have won elections a long time back. The only thing that the PML-N will achieve by this is to wreck Aamir Sohail’s standing as a cricket commentator. Imran is recognised for several other achievements besides cricket. His track record of achievements is far more impressive than that of any current politician. Among his achievements is the establishment of a world-class charitable cancer hospital which has served thousands of ordinary poor Pakistanis.

Great !!! Amir Sohail was great when he was under Khan's captaincy. He himself acknowledged this several times. His ending was quite miserable. Its very obvious that Khan will make an autonomous cricket board where appointments will be made based on merit. However amir prefers Ijaz Butt way of management. Let's see what he gains under the captaincy of peeli taxi inventor. Yellow vision and yellow taxis....
