Train guards booked for alleged rape

A new development has occurred in the case of a woman allegedly raped by security guards on a train earlier this week
Railway police registered the case of a woman allegedly raped by railway security guards while traveling by train.
According to the case filed by the victim, resident of Gaddafi Town Laundry Karachi, she boarded the Sir Syed Express from Rothri Railway Station, travelling to Rawalpindi to visit her sister.
During the journey, the accused security guards, Muhammad Sohail and Arshad Mehendi, allegedly told her to go in the bogie and followed her. When they approached the train’s washroom, they allegedly dragged her inside the washroom and took turns raping her.
The two guards were arrested and Railway Police registered case No. 64/22 against them under Section 376 section 2 PPC and started a full investigation.
