Sindh Health Secretary Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that orders have been issued to the Health Care Commission to take action for the tragic incident of Chhacharo. Strict action will be taken if government staff was found involved in the incident.

He went on to say that machines are out-of-order in government hospitals across Sindh. We intend to operate these machines under a public-private partnership mode through private companies, after which patients will be charged with a minimum amount in terms of hospital fee.

He expressed these views while speaking at a function, which was held to distribute mobile phones to vaccinators at the EPI office on Thursday.

Director EPI, Dr. Irshad Memon, COO PHHI, Javed Ahmed Abro and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Health secretary said that mobile phones are being provided to vaccinators to improve the immunization in the province. He added said that 3,500 Mobile phones will be distributed to vaccinators across the province.

He said, "We plan on data. If there is no data, there will be no planning. Getting authentic data will improve planning, attendance of vaccinators will also be ensured through mobile phones."
