Police suspect girl was raped before murder

BUREWALA:

A girl child who had gone missing from an area that fell under the jurisdiction of the Model Town Police Station seven days ago was found dead.

Her body was recovered from a watercourse near a field. Her kidnappers had raped her before killing her, police suspect.

The parents of the girl and people in general, while talking to the media, expressed their strongest indignation over alleged police indifference during the past week.

They claimed they had even provided the police with the details about the alleged abductor, but police did not arrest him earlier.

According to details, the body of 12-year-old girl, who had gone missing seven days ago from Iqbal Nagar area of the Model Town Police Station, was found in a field near village 513 EB.

The girl had been abducted from near her home on which her mother, Shahnaz, informed the Model Town Police Station and had a case registered.

The police did not arrest the accused despite the fact that the heirs of the girl had identified him on the basis of their suspicion, the girl’s mother told the media.

The heirs said that they went to the office of the DSP several times, but the DSP, they alleged, showed indifference.

The family blocked the road two days ago and protested against the police, demanding recovery of the girl child, but to no avail.
