The politics in Pakistan is all the same as in other countries but for only one thing – we have made the worst amongst us as our representatives. This realisation is what prompted a handful of successfully established professionals to launch a new political party ‘Mustaqbil Pakistan’.
Organised at a party supporter’s residence, the small launch event for the city was held amongst a selected crowd in Defence on Saturday.
To the astonishment of most, the representatives of the party do not have any connection to Pir Pagara or Khar and have not been devotees of the Bhutto leadership rather make up of the professional educated elite. But what made these counted individuals take a step as bold as this was what everyone attending was wondering. “It may sound unrealistic, but we have done our homework,” stated the party chairman Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi as if reading the anxious minds in the small packed crowd.
He said that earlier, when his small group of friends were contemplating and rationalising the idea, they realised that almost all of the problems of Pakistan boil down to just one issue - the domination of the most corrupt, most uneducated, most incompetent people in the politics. He said that while the party has constructed a detailed manifesto on different subjects as foreign policy, health, economy etc, its main aim is to bring the educated and honest people of the country to the fore front to run the affairs of the country.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
Any fair minded person, familiar with MP Chairman Nadeem Qureshi and his supporters, cannot but agree, that they are good men - and women. For those armchair cynics, neither willing nor able to effect positive change in Pakistan, at least recognise that there are people of sincere intention who can lead you out of the shameful anarchy besetting this land.
Mustaqbil Pakistan are untainted goods. Give them a chance. . .
about time that pakistans professional came to the rescue????

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. We learn while we are moving towards achieving our goal. The people who are supporting & working for Mustaqbil Pakistan is a small group of people who has only one thing common “What I can do for the country as an individual” this small number will be able to spread their message to every single Pakistani. Masood Ali
Fantastic initiative. Let's hope it gains momentum and decent, hard working individuals can finally gain a foothold in the country and lead it to a brighter future.
Dream and dream big , we need ppl like you keep moving and never halt
Look at the Pakistan, where we were and where we are now. We are falling down and down and it needs to be stopped. If we keep doing, what we have been doing in the past, we will get the same results. We need to change and do something different and better. I greatly apprecate and admire each and every one of Mustaqbil Pakistan who have opted to take the difficult path. May ALLAH (swt) make it easy and help you successed. Aameen. Please don't get discourged by the comments, such as made by Moulana Diesel. I need not to say anything, the name speaks for itself. Living in Pakistan is not a pre-requisite to "Love Pakistan". Relatively speaking, the Pakistani's who live out of Pakistan have stronger feelings for betterment of Pakistan. They see other countries and compare it with Pakistan. I was talking to a Muslim girl, stuyding in USa and she said, "The revival of Islam will spring from USA and Europe because Muslim's living in those countries have to struggle to practice Islam". People living in Muslim countries and specially in Pakistan, take Islam as a default and don't put any effort in their life to understand and practice true Islam". I am not discounting good practising muslim's living in Pakistan but I am trying to show other side of the picture. I would conclude my remarks with, "Long Live Pakistan" and a quote from the Holy Quraan, "ALLAH (Swt) does not change the situation of a nation unless the nation (group of people) don't strive to change it". I request all Pakistani's to make one prayer, " Ya ALLAH, bless Pakistan with leadership, who is sincere, honest, mumin and have vision (baseerat) and hikmat and Ya ALLAH, please help Pakistan to get rid of corrupt leaders". Aameen, Suma Aameen.
@Maulana Diesel: One should be carefull about making an allegation before checking the facts, the party chairman is the only one who lived in Saudi Arabia and has moved to Pakistan 5 years ago. Rest of the organizers you met yesterday all live in Pakistan. Yes there are many supporters living overseas. There is a difference between supporters & organisers. What ever you actual name is my dear, I hope you understand. Good luck & Best wishes of the holy month of Ramadan.
Express Tribune has done a good job to cover this event, however, could be better if the journalist incharge publish a full story of Mustaqbil Pakistan, Party Chairman's interview and material out-come of this event. Look forward for Express Tribune to look into it over the next couple of days. Thanks.
Well if we want change PTI is the best we have got.. Except the ones who actually benefit from the status quo and get rich they are going to keep on voting for the likes of Jamshed Dasti and chaudhry nisar etc
@maulana What in your view is clued out? surely you seem to have worked it out for yourself. Time and again people like yourself in Pakistan seem to have all the answers yet will sit in your drawing rooms and not come out and do any better for the country.
And what exactly are democratic traditions in Pakistan, something you are proud of i am sure?
These traditions which ONLY you have in your head seem to have gotten us in this mess to start off with. I strongly suggest you give a solution and not pass comments which give us the feeling you are another one of the people filling in the lines of self importance, which certainly you do not deserve. The only reason for my response to you is to give my vote to the guys who have taken this initiative and Thank God for people like you who make us want to stand up.
Mustaqbil Pakistan i a sure these responses only make your will grow stronger, how can i sign up to become a member.
Nice coverage Samia.
The chairman of this party has in fact not done his homework. Having spoken to him at length, I found him completely clued out. The biggest problem with this party is that most of its organisers have lived a long time in Saudi Arabia and are thus not familiar with democratic traditions.
May Allah protect all these new individuals, from our dirty politicians that new entries is unacceptable near their minds...
Welcome, Hope we will get rid of OLD RICE....those are of no use...
I WISH THE BEST AND PLEASE WORK TOWARDS THWARTING THE PLANS OF THE US AND INDIA Against a united and a prosperous Pakistan.
Wish you guys all the best...may Allah swt bestow success upon you all....A`ameen....this is the party Mr Tariq Maena ( son of Mr Khalid Maena - managing editor of Arab News - KSA ) had also mentioned few weeks back in one of his article & emphasized to support this group....insha Allah...if you guys are true in yr iman, faith & committment...you will hv support.
Inshallah this party will be successful. We need people like this to step forward and help our failing country. Shelve the criticism people. I am definitely joining the party.
I happened to have visited the launch, a commendable initiative. The people actually appreciated what was being said there and the answers which were given to the questions being asked.
It is apparent that such people are kept out of the public eye on purpose.
We hear of everyone shouting where is the alternative, yet the media does not go looking for who is working out there.
The least the media can do is find out from the election commission of Pakistan how many parties are registered and maybe cover them and their work, the complaint of no alternative will slowly change.
By the way the presence of Jimmy Engineer was good to note. An excellent coverage by Samia Saleem
The launching of a new political party Mustaqbil Pakistan is a great news.Party has given the answer to the question which people often raised "what is the alternative of these curpt leaders".Now its our turn to use our vote senseabley.Good Luck Mustaqbil Pakistan.
@billo So you are still stuck in that frame of mind?
@OMAIR Lodhi: "done his homework"... what about class work? extracurricular activites
I have been writing about Mustaqbil Pakistan, it was only a matter or time till the media caught on. Having grown from 200 people to a shade over 15 k speaks volumes. The Chairman is a true professional who has done his homework.
Keep us posted, of the events of this Party. Hopefully someday professional people will be at the helm of affairs of this country
I think such an initiative as better than doing nothing at all.
@Billoo its better than people like you who comment and do nothing, which has led to the country into the hands of the usual culprits.
Well done Mustaqbil Pakistan. I think we should all support such initiatives, which will eventually lead to the cleaner politicians in Pakistan who can then compete with each other for better policy making.
Another party of wannabees.
