ATC hands death sentence to cop killer

KARACHI:
A Special Anti-Terrorism Court has sentenced accused Asif Bhaya to death in the murder case of police officer Akram Khan. Special Court No. 16 in the Anti-Terrorism Complex in Karachi Central Jail declared the verdict in Karachi yesterday for the murder case of police officer Akram Khan.
The prosecution succeeded in proving the crime. The court convicted the accused Asif, alias Bhaya and awarded him two death sentences. The court also ordered the convict to pay Rs200,000 to the family of the martyred officer and sentenced the accused to 17 years in prison for arms and other offences.
